Chimp Eden
Meet the chimps on your visit to the Jane Goodall Institute Chimpanzee Eden. The Sanctuary is home to chimps that have been misplaced from their natural habitats in Africa. Every visitor coming through the gate will contribute to the rescue of another chimpanzee. The goal of the Institute is to rescue chimpanzees that have survived the bush meat trade; been orphaned and are traded in the illegal pet trade to zoos and circuses. These chimps are the lucky ones that have been rescued.
Sudwala Caves
A day tour which combines chimps and caving.
Depart from your hotel at around 08h00 and drive to the Jane Goodall Institute Chimpanzee Eden situated about 15kms outside Nelspruit. We arrive in time to join the tour which includes the feeding of the chimpanzees at 10h00. This is a unique opportunity to view chimpanzees in semi-wild surroundings. Visitors will be captivated by these primates who share 97% of mans’ DNA. With every visitor we take to the Sanctuary, we contribute to the rescue of another chimpanzee.
